INTA a adopté sa recommandation finale : le Parlement européen doit rejeter ACTA !

Par 19 voix contre 12, la commission "Commerce international" (INTA) du Parlement européen a adopté, le 21 juin 2012, sa recommandation finale de vote et demande au Parlement européen de rejeter ACTA lors du vote en plénière, prévu le 4 juillet 2012.

ACTA menace les libertés fondamentales en ligne, la neutralité du Net, l'innovation, l'accès aux technologies libres et aux médicaments essentiels. Le Parlement européen a tous les éléments pour le rejeter et s'il décidait de repousser le vote final sur l'accord, il serait vu comme fuyant ses responsabilités politiques. Ce jeudi 21 juin, les membres de la commission « Commerce international » (INTA) du Parlement européen vont décider de leur recommandation finale sur ACTA au reste du Parlement. Jusqu'à présent, toutes les commissions ont recommandé le rejet d'ACTA. Nous appelons les membres d'INTA à faire de même et à voter contre tout amendement recommandant l'adoption d'ACTA ou le report du vote final par le Parlement. Repousser le vote est un stratagème trompeur mis en place depuis des semaines par la Commission européenne et les lobbies de l'industrie afin de sauver la face. Les eurodéputés doivent assumer leurs responsabilités politiques et protéger les citoyens contre ce dangereux accord. Il est plus qu'urgent de rompre avec la logique répressive d'ACTA, et d'instaurer la distinction fondamentale entre la véritable et dangereuse contrefaçon de biens matériels, et les pratiques de partage qui contribuent à construire notre culture et une meilleure société.
