Weiquanwang (维权网)

This Chinese blog Weiquanwang (which translates to Rights Protection Network) regularly posts information pertaining to human rights abuses in China. In 2016, Weiquanwang first reported that citizen journalist Lu Yuyu, who kept a record of over 30,000 mass demonstrations in China, was arrested, bringing the case to international attention. Apart from reporting the arrests of activists and journalists, the website also reports on topics ranging from petitions to disappearances and illegal detentions. Weiquanwang aims to bring these abuses and others to the attention of both domestic and foreign journalists in the hopes of energizing meaningful change in Chinese human rights.
