Join Reporters without borders

I want to join the fight for a free and independent press and become a member of Reporters without borders

Joining Reporters without borders means joining the combat to save the lives of journalists who are in danger or under threat. It also means standing up against all forms of censorship throughout the world and playing a real role in the fight for a free and independent press.

No victory would be possible without your support. We are proud of the progress made in the fight that we have led for nearly 40 years so far. Yet, there is still so much to do. Wars and conflicts, restrictions on freedom of opinion, disinformation and new threats from artificial intelligence : many immense challenges lie before us.

We need you now, more than ever !

5 reasons to join Reporters without borders :

1. You will join the campaign for the right to information

We tirelessly denounce all attacks on press freedom around the world.

2. You will help to roll back censorship

We fight censorship and laws aimed at restricting freedom of information by lobbying governments. Our delegations go out into the field, investigate cases of imprisoned or murdered journalists, meet with authorities, and assess the state of press freedom worldwide.

3.  You will help journalists in danger

We provide assistance to journalists in danger and to the families of imprisoned reporters. This help is very tangible: Reporters sans frontières awards hundreds of assistance grants each year.

4. You will challenge public opinion

We make ourselves heard at embassies, in meetings, and in international summits. RSF's strike operations raise public awareness and denounce all those who oppose freedom of information.

5. You are a spokesperson for the association

As a member, you become a real actor in our fight. You can share our values, our actions, and our messages with your family, friends, and colleagues. You can help to  increase our visibility by sharing our posts on your social networks, for example.

In real terms, how will my financial contributions be used?

As a non-profit association, Reporters sans frontières draws a large part of its capacity for action and its financial base from the support of its members. It is thanks to your generosity that the organization maintains its moral and financial independence, and the freedom to wage its battles.

Here is the breakdown of our 2023 expenses :
