two journalists and two bloggers arrested

Two journalists – Ebaa Monzer, a business reporter for the newspaper Baladna, and Omar Al-Assad, who works for Al-Jazeera and the newspapers As-Safir and Al-Hayat and who was already arrested at the start of the protests – and two bloggers, Rudy Othman and Asim Hamsho, were abducted by security agents from a café in the southern Damascus suburb of Jaramana. Monzer, a woman, was thought to have been released while Hamsho was reportedly tortured at intelligence headquarters in the northern district of Maysat. What happened to the other two and what happened to Hamsho after his interrogation was not immediately known.
