Tribuna

By.tribuna.com, the Belarusian version of the Russian sports website Sports.ru, is a very popular sports and infotainment site in Belarus and eastern Europe, with more than 1.3 million unique visitors a month. Founded as Goals.by in 2010 by sports journalist Maksim Berezinskiy, it joined the Tribuna digital group in 2014. It sees itself not only as a major database, aggregating sports news and results, but also as a social media, attracting users with quizzes, blogs and linked forums. And it sometimes ventures onto the political terrain, addressing sports-related problems in Belarus and, as a result, criticizing the authorities. For this reason, it had received several warnings in the past but has now been blocked for the first time.
