RWB writes to French president, analyses draft constitution

On the eve of French President François Hollande’s first official visit to Tunisia, on 4-5 July, Reporters Without Borders has urged him to raise human rights and, in particular, freedom of information, during his talks with Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki. Reporters Without Borders is also publishing its comments on the draft constitution that is to be submitted to the National Constituent Assembly’s vote soon. Despite recent substantial improvements, it lacks sufficient safeguards to ensure that freedom of information is respected and protected.
