No word of Liberation senior correspondent for the past 24 hours

The French newspaper Liberation said today it had not had any word of its correspondent in Iraq, Florence Aubenas, and her interpreter, Hussain Hanoun Al-Saadi, for the past 24 hours. Aubenas, senior reporter and Middle-East expert, arrived in Baghdad last 16 December. She has covered the fighting in Rwanda, Kosovo, Algeria, Afghanistan and Iraq for the daily newspaper for the past twenty years.
