Blogger Ali Abdulemam went into hiding

Ali Abdulemam, a blogger who had been freed on 22 February after several months in prison (http://en.rsf.org/maghreb-et-moyen-orient-media-continue-to-be-targets-as-23-02-2011,39604.html), went into hiding to avoid being arrested again. Around 40 gunmen had forced their way into his sister’s home, where he had been staying since the arrest of several members of the opposition. Abdulemam was one of the nominees for this year’s Netizen Prize, which Reporters Without Borders awarded with support from Google to the Tunisian website Nawaat on 11 March (http://12mars.rsf.org/en/).
