D-1 for 2017 World Press Freedom Index

Reporters Without Borders (RSF) will unveil its 2017 World Press Freedom Index on Wedenesday, April 26. For the first time, its leading bureaux in Paris, London, Washington, Tunis and Rio de Janeiro will hold press conferences to draw attention to the event all around the world.

At each press conference, RSF will give a presentation on the most significant changes in the Index’s rankings and will analyse the major trends.

Journalists from various parts of the world will then be invited to talk about the problems they encounter in their work, thereby bringing alive the often harsh realties behind the colours of the press freedom map.
